Brief Answer:
MEDICINES can be tried before Botox

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

I can understand your concern. To make proper diagnosis detailed evaluation and examination is needed. But chronic high dose use of antipsychotics is known to result in movement side effects like tics in your case.

Tetrabenzene, Trihexyphenidyl etc can be used to reduce the tics but in some individuals Botox injections are needed to get relief. So you can talk with your doctor for the drugs I've mentioned and if you don't get relief with these drugs then the next solution is Botox only.

Thanks, Take care
