Brief Answer:
You require eye tests and precautions as mentioned

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

It seems from the history that you are having refractive error in the form of myopia. Myopia has increased from -2.25 dioptres to -6.0 dioptres in last 13 years.

Refractive errors like myopia are usually because of disproportionate growth of the eye ball resulting in increased axial length. Hence it is common to find increase in refractive error in childhood till the growth of the eye ball stops. This will occur by 18-20 years after which usually most of the refractive erorrs become stable and will not show any further increase in the refractive error.

Since you are already 26 years and your refractive error is still increasing examination and tests have to be done to rule out other causes for increase in refractive error like increase in corneal curvature. Hence you require to undergo tests like corneal topography to find out any underlying causes like keratoconus and treatment accordingly. This has to be suspected if you are having cylindrical refractive error.

The other precautions to be taken to prevent rapid increase in myopia are
1. Wearing spectacles regularly during most of the time.
2. Regular eye examinations once in a year to find out any change in refractive error and correction of it.
3. Use of vitamin A rich foods like green leafy vegetables, carrot.....

Hence I advice you to take above mentioned precautions and to consult your ophthalmologist for examination to find out any corneal causes for increase in refractive error.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
