Question: How to get rid of annoying skin tags, especially one on top of my head that bleeds during sleeping. Plus multiple skin tags in my arm pits, neck, and groin areas? I wake up with blood on my pillow and big scab on my head.

Thanks for asking to Healthcaremagic.

1)You can tie(ligate) the skin tag with sterile thin filament like long hair is used.Pulling the tied filament each day makes the tag to lack blood supply and also to fall after some days..

2)You can apply apple cidar vinegar,tea tree oil,lemon juice etc over the tags until it sheds off..

3)Over the counter(OTC) skin tag removal kit(By technique of freezing with liquid nitrogen) and creams or gels containing salicylate like compound-W gel can be used.

Note these measures are not safe and also not proven to effectively get rid of the skin tags.

I would also not recommend these methods either.You can try at your own discretion.Avoid using these methods in face to avoid cosmetic issues..I don't know how far it would help for the tag present on your scalp.

Any trained medical professional like GP (other than dermatologist) can help get rid of these tags with simple procedures like scalpel excision and cauterisation easily under local anesthesia and following aseptic precautions.
