Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

First I need to ask some questions:

- do you notice the starting of a migraine headache before worsening?

- how many migraine headaches do you experience in a month?

- duration ( hours or days )?

- drugs you used and improvement or not?

- any other health problems or brain imaging studies done?

Awaiting for more information....

yes I can feel heaviness in my head before the miagrane. and then because of any small trigger like light sound anxiousness or any other trigger the miagrane starts. I get miagranes at least 3 times a month and its lasts for 6 hours till I have a medicine. usually I have suminet or migranim.

Brief Answer:
Preventive treatment is a possibility.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back and thanks for the clarifications.

Migramin should be used as soon as possible when you notice a migraine crisis is starting, not after the crisis started.

Resting in a quiet place after crisis started, helps too.

However, three or more migraine headaches in a month need preventive treatment.

Drugs used for this purpose are divided in three groups and include:

1. Cardiovascular drugs: Betablockers ( Propranolol, Metoprolol ), Calcium channel blockers ( Verapamil ).

2. Antidepressants ( Amytriptiline )

3. Antiseizure drugs ( Valproate, Topiramate ).

In my opinion, you can start with Propranolol eg.

Propranolol is started at low doses ( 20-30 mg/day ) and can be increased if necessary.

Since these are prescription drugs, you need to discuss with your primary care Doctor about their use.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Take care.
