Brief Answer:
FOLLOW THE ADVICE.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

According to your given information, it may be COSTOCHONDRITIS. Non-steroid Anti-inflammatory drug is the treatment of choice.

I suggest her to take Combined Aceclofenac + Paracetamol + Serratiopeptidase tablet like SIGNOFLAM or ACECLO-SERA etc. It should be taken twice daily 1 hr after meal with antacid (Ranitidine). Muscle relaxant gel can be applied locally.

Non-Medical applications to reduce pain:

1) Heat pads
2) Ice application
3) Acupuncture
4) Gentle Stretching Exercise
5) Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS)
6) Avoidance of sports or activities that worsen the pain.

In severe or extreme case, injections of steroids or local anesthetic medicines may be used. Intercostal Nerve Block is the another treatment option. In that case, you must consult with your treating doctor.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish her good health and take care yourself.

Regards,
Dr S Patra
