Suggest Treatment For Lower Left Abdominal Pain Radiating Towards Back And Osteoarthritis

default
Posted on Tue, 26 May 2015
Question: I am having abdominal pain in my lower left that radiates to my back. This has been going on for some time and I have tried to address it with my doctor who says it does not make sense and thinks I have osteoarthritis. However, celebrex does not help. I also feel exhausted and it often feels like there are small stones in my lower spine. This has been going on over the past three years. In the past week, I have been having diarrhea and most recently, blood in my stool. I do not think it is appendicitis because everyone talks about excruciating pain with this. I am in pain, but it is bearable. Thoughts? I do not have health insurance and cannot afford to have lots of tests run... You get the picture...

Brief Answer:
Visit hospital to rule out ovarian torsion please

Detailed Answer:
Hello

thank you for the answers. i have gone through them. There are certain conditions including appendicitis & ovarian torsion that we need to rule out. I would suggest you to visit hospital and get following labs done:

- Ultrasound Abdomen & Pelvis
- CBC with ESR

These will help to rule out certain common causes of this pain. Further management will depend upon the results of these tests. Meanwhile take naproxen thrice a day for 3 days. It will help reducing the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
