Suggest Treatment For Lower Back And Leg Pain

default
Posted on Mon, 5 Dec 2016
Question: I'm having what I thought was sciatica pain, left leg this time. But it extends from my lower back down the front/ouside of my leg, not the back. Is this sciatica or possibly something else. I did have a cyst on my L5 nerve several years ago removed but that affected my right leg too. It doesn't hurt as much when I'm sitting but walking, standing, sleeping is painful

Hello dear XXXX
Welcoem to HCM and thanks for the query
I understand your concern and sorry to hear about your problem

Your symptoms are suggestive of sciatica.
It is due to compression of lumbar or sacral nerve roots.
Disc herniation, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis are the common cause.
I would suggest to consult the orthopaedics surgeon and undergo detailed examination (straight leg rise test) and MRI scan to rule out the problem.
Following treatment will helpful for period of 5-6 weel
Tablet Pregabalin M one daily.
Tablet Myospaz twice daily.
Local application of Volitran ointment
Hot compression

So consult the orthopaedics surgeon to share may opinion and take proper prescribed medicine.

Hope I have answered your query
If you ahve further query then I will be happy to help you
