Brief Answer:
Symptoms likely due to Acute Gastroenteritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Sir

Going by description of your symptoms, the likely cause is Acute Gastroenteritis. Stool softeners sometimes precipitate such episodes of loose stools.

I would suggest you the following

1. Stop any further use of laxatives

2. Antispasmodics like Drotavarine will provide much needed relief from pain

3. Antimotility drug like Loperamide which is available as over counter medication can be used if there is no blood in stools. It will reduce the frequency of loose stools.

4. Probiotics will help

5. Ensure sufficient intake of water

6. Antacid like Pantoprozole will be helpful

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
