Posted on Mon, 19 Jan 2015
Question: I have had a fever since thanks giving. Low grade 99-100 for the first two days. spiked to 103.7 for a day and now low grade running around 99.7 and then sweat goes back to around normal and then the process starts again with low-grade. Do not feel bad or like I got fever, however, start sweating and I check my temp and it is around 99.7 most of the time. Seem to have fever more after 6 PM than prior.

Brief Answer:
Low grade fever , thousand possibilities, need work up

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Low grade intermittent fever alternating at a regular time frame with sweating and high grade fever is a symptom of many possibilities from head to toe infections.

This pattern of fever is usually with malaria mostly in third world countries. But you have XXXXXXX having it since thanks giving so its unlikely to be a malaria. An infection underlying in the body . There is a long list fo possibilities here for a fever and they all need to be sorted out.

You need to visit a doctor. they will run some tests and we will know for sure what is going on. You haven't even visited a doctor yet and this stage, trying to diagnose fever thousand miles away from you on a key board will be shooting blanks. A few cc of your blood will fix all the issues by work up. So get a consult and let them take care of this underlying cause of the fever.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

may the odds be ever in your favour.

Khan
