Posted on Mon, 2 Mar 2015
Question: Hi doctor,

My 10 month old baby's appetite has decreased during last 3-4 days. Earlier he was taking adequate food but recently he doesn't take food beyond 3-4 spoons.

However, he looks very active and normal as usual. Any help would be much appreciated.

Best regards,

Brief Answer:
normal child behavior

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for posting on health care magic.

The thing you have described is not a problem. The rate of growth alters with age of the child. You have to give me the serial weights of the child, so that I am better able to help you.

Waiting for your reply.

Brief Answer:
This is a normal trend

Detailed Answer:
His rate of weight gain is normal. 8.5kg weight is normal.

Try to give a variety of foods, particularly home made foods. He will be more interested in the food you take. Encourage that.

Don't worry, your child is on track.
