Suggest Treatment For Loose Stools And Fever
Question: Dear Sir,
My Wife is not feeling well.Yesterday she had gone for dysentary 5-6 times which is watery.When we checked with Thermometer yesterday night it was showing 100.2 F Fever.
Not sure what could be the reason.Now Morning the Thermometer reading is 99.2F
Could you plz suggest what tablets or test she should undergo.
Food that she should take since still Fever is there

Hello,
As discussed earlier over phone, I would suggest you to continue with the medicines prescribed for her earlier. Since she seems to have symptoms pertaining to Acute gastroenteritis, it will resolve in a day or two.
Kindly do the following:
- T. OFLOX-OZ (ofloxacin and ornidazole combination) twice daily for 5 days.
- C. PANTOCID once daily for 5 days, half hour before food
- C. ENUFF (racecadotril) to be taken as an when needed
- T. DOLO 650mg SOS
Kindly keep me posted on her wellbeing,

Hello,

Thank You very much for your suggestion.Can we stop medication if she get well soon or it is compulsory to take it for 5 days?

The antibiotics given for her (T. OFLOX-OZ) is to be taken for 5 days. Rest all medications can be taken only if needed. I would not advice stopping the antibiotic in between as the infective organism can get tolerant or immune to the antibiotic if taken in inadequate dosage.
