Suggest Treatment For Liver Decompensation

Question: Brief Answer:
The prospects are not high on this!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about what your husband is going though. I have reviewed this information and it is very suggestive of a failed and decompensated liver. The prospects of getting out of this are very slim. The best treatment option for him would be a liver transplant if he qualifies. Please, ask his doctors about this. The disorientation is typical of the liver being unable to filter waste out of the system which causes hepatic encephalopathy( liver impact on the brain).

I hope this addresses your query fully. I wish your husband well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be.

As his jaundice is improving and the counts are going down should he not be trying to move a little. From experience of him saying the doctor saying ,I didn't, hear this will mean all day. To be honest I'm an alcoholic who hasn't drank for almost 20 years. I moved hear because he kept a good job for several months. I know he has cirrhosis and he he normally cooperates in hospital. I am 64 the car is mine but can't drive due eye membrane problems.I have R A and can't bear the thought again of him manipulation the use of the car sleeping all the time and verbal abuse to get it, in a place we can't afford without his job. He has no idea how I'll he makes me feel. A short hospitalisation with pneumonia. Is there any chance his liver will rejuvinate.?

Brief Answer:
I will suggest that his doctors reassess him and conclude on that!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for following up with me.

I understand your worries and pain. It is rather unfortunate that I cannot provide precise answer as to how severe his state is and whether he is making it up or not. It would take a doctor to review him and say something about that.

The liver does not rejuvenate. That is not possible.

I wish you both well.
