Brief Answer:
Interpretation of MRI report

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. Your MRI report is suggestive of some lesion in left frontal lobe. The lesion could be anything like

: Old gliotic area means brain scarring
: Tumor - Benign or malignant
: Infarct
: Archanoid cyst
: Infective abscess

You should mention what it is like on T1, T2, FLAIR . It will help more.

Syrinx means dilatation of fluid canal in spinal cord. This fluid canal is normally present in centre of spinal cord. It can get dilated by some mass effect over brainstem or spinal cord at any place. If it is at T1 then near by area should be carefully evaluated. If no lesion like disc/tumor/scarring or tethered cord/bony mass in surrounding area, then screening of whole spine is needed.

It can cause
: Tingling in lower limbs
: Loss of sensation (pain, touch, temperature, vibration) in lower limbs
: Gradually weakness of both lower limbs with muscle atrophy
: Bladder and bowel incontinence

Your malaise could be due to it. The mental fogginess could be due to lesion in frontal lobe.

CSF study is suggestive of very few lymphocytes/mononuclear cells. As such, CSF should not contain any inflammatory cells. Such picture can occur with

: Chronic meningitis
: Chronic infection like tuberculosis/fungal/viral
: Vertebral bone marrow tumor or infection
: Old resolving infection
: Sometimes tumor

If possible, please send me your MRI films. It will help me a lot in concluding diagnosis.
If any doubt, do let me know.
Thanks. Take care.
