Question: Male Vietnam vet age 71... Extreme left chest pain nipple area very sensitive and under arm ..thinks he injured it.
CT/ IV
No mediastinal hilar or auxiliary lymphadenopathy
Sub centimeter left hilar lymph node 9 x7 mm
Atherosclerotic changes of thoracic aorta and its branch vessels..Coronary artery calcification.
He has a stent in heart.

For a person of this age with coronary artery calcifications and stent in heart, chest pain on left side could arise due to inadequate blood supply to the heart which could be the cause of heart attack. I would insist you to rush him to the ER without any further delay. An ECG and a cardiological evaluation needs to be done at the earliest. Although an injury cannot be ruled out, it is less likely. The examination by the doctors at the ER will make things clearer.
