Question: I am a SCI patient (Spinal Cord Injured) since 24-February-2015 and my full body is paralyzed. There is no sensation and movement in my whole body below my shoulder. I am on CIC (Clean Intermittent Catheterization) to empty the urine from bladder.
Me and my wife is planning to increase family and we want to know about all technics through which we can plan a baby. My wife has no health issues.
Can you please let me know in details as how she can plan a baby?

Brief Answer:
You have to choose IVF techniques.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
The best option which you may have at present with quadriparesis , assuming that your testicular function is normal with normal sperm production, you can opt for a procedure technique of IVF called TESA(Testicular Epididymal Sperm Aspiration) + ICSI ( Intracytoplasmic sperm injection) followed by EMBRYO TRANSFER into uterus.

In simple terms with TESA, sperms shall be aspirated in a pipette and then washed for better concentration and then a healthy sperm shall be identified. This sperm would be transferred directly into the OVUM ( harvested from your wife during ovulation time through oocyte harvesting technique- involving ultrasound guided ovum aspiration). Once the fertilisation occurs , then the embryo is cultured as test tube baby and when it is 8 celled stage , then it is transferred into the mother's womb for implantation under medical support.

Or you may try for TESA + IUI ( intrauterine insemination) where sperms after aspiration are washed and directly deposited into the female uterus with a pipette. Here the oocyte harvesting is not done. But the chances of sperm fertilising ovum remains 30-35% only, as per international statistics.
I hope i have answered your query in detail,
Regards
