Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXX,
How are you? Thanks for writing to HCM today.
Spots on the skin can be of various causes. I did read your previous question you had asked the forum. I understand that it is a brown, circular spot. Unfortunately the differential diagnosis for this is numerous and will be very difficult to narrow down without further history. When did it start? Is there any itching? or burning?
It would also be best if you could upload a high resolution photo of the lesion. Your uploaded image is not clear I could not able to make out the diagnosis.
Please do get back to me with the above to help you.

have a great day

I noticed it about 3 months ago and ut has never really bothered me other than maybe being itchy from time to time but hardly at all. There has never been any burning.

Brief Answer:
Superficial Fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXX,
Thank you very much for getting back to me so quickly. After closer inspection, it does appear to be a fungal infection of the skin which is very common in hot and humid climates and the groin is the commonest site affected.
I would advice a over-the-counter anti fungal dusting powder (clotrimazole etc) or an anti-fungal cream (ketoconozole, terbinafine ets) for local application atleast twice a day. Make sure to wash and dry the area thoroughly before each application. If it is indeed a fungal infection, you should notice an appreaciable improvement in the symptoms, esp the itching. It might take upto a month for the pigmentation to disappear though. if you do not see any improvement even after a week of continued application, I would advice you to consult a dermatologist to get a specific diagnosis.
Hope this helps and hope you start to feel better. Please do not hesitate to write back for any further clarifications.

Have a great day
