Question: I have skin sores that breakout and itch.
They form rough scabs ... Began on my knees and now on hips and back

According to your complaints it could be folliculitis which is inflammation of the hair follicles.
I would recommend you to upload the pictures of the affected areas so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.
Meanwhile you can apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet cetrizine 10 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching.
