Brief Answer:
Information

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

This rash has some characteristics of a fungal infection, but it is hard to tell because it just looks rather inflamed from scratching it.

You can try a combination corticosteroid (cortizone) with an anti fungal (such as lotrimin or clotrimazole) or a combination (Lotrizone).

What the rash looks like may become more specific, in which case you can go in to see your doctor or a clinic and they can tell more readily.

If it becomes quite red and tender, put moist heat on it and go into clinic for treatment of a bacterial infection, but it does not look bacterial at this time.

If it does not get worse, use the creams I described for 7 days. But if it is not going away, or if it gets worse, then do go in to be seen sooner.

I hope this information helps. I will be away from the computer for the next 2 days so if you need further information, you may need to repost your question for someone else to help. I will be back tomorrow evening. I'm sorry for the delay.
