Question: I have developed a rash on my penis over about 6 months its slowly inxreased in size There is no pain or itching or symptons of any kind I masturabate 4x week Please see attached pic

Brief Answer: Balanitis.Abstinence from masturbation,cleaning Detailed Answer: Hi, Welcome to HCM. Thanks for posting your query. I saw the picture sent by you.What I could make out from that picture is that you are having an inflammation of your glans penis. This may either be due to infection or irritation. From this picture I would like to rule out the chances of an infection and the possibility of irritation is more. This irritation may be due to toilet soaps, some external applications like antiseptics, improper cleaning, condom or infected vaginal discharge etc. Forcible and repeated masturbation sometime may cause a congestion or a contusion which also may look like this. As you explained that you are having the lesion for 6 months and slowly increasing in size, I will suggest you to abstain from Masturbation for a period of 2 weeks and clean the lesion with plain water frequently. You will be alright. If not, consult a Dermatologist and get examined. Nothing serious. You will be alright soon. Dr S.Murugan
