Question: Hello,

I have had an itchy area on my left labia majora for several months that comes and goes every few days to a week. I usually have 1 or 2(max) pimple like bumps that itch for a day and then not for a few days before the cycle repeats. The itching and the bump disappear and then a couple days later will be raised and itchy again. They never fill with fluid or pop, just raise(become noticeable) with some itch and then disappear only to start that cycle over again after a few days to a week.

The itch and any bump is always in the same spot and if I can avoid scratching, they diminish quicker. If I do itch too much it seems like it becomes red and irritated like a rash and the bump is more flat. It never scabs over and I have been tested for herpes multiple times and it was negative. I was even given Acyclovir just in case and there was no change. I haven't been sexually active for 8 months and have been tested recently. My ex was also tested recently and was negative for any STD.

I am at a loss as to what it could be because doctors always say that herpes would not be constant and the bumps would subside after they pop and blister. Since I have been tested and am free and clear of any STD, I really don't know why these bumps would always be in the same spot on the same side of my labia majora. It looks like a pimple but I am only affected in that same area, it never spreads anywhere else and I never seem to have long periods of time where it doesn't occur. It also rarely affects me during my period.
