Suggest Treatment For Intertrigo In The Groin Area
Question: I get lot of itching in between my legs, groin area and it is all getting red. It has become worst. Kindly help me.

According to your complaints it can be either due to ringworm infection or due to intertrigo which is inflammation of the body folds.

Intertrigo and its management
Detailed Answer:
I have reviewed the attached photographs and you are having intertrigo due to inflammation of the body folds.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend to apply a steroid cream like clobetasol propionate cream or betamethasone cream on the affected area twice daily along with antihistaminic like tablet levocetrizine 5 mg twice daily for 7-10 days.
Also take a short course of oral steroid like tablet prednisolone 20 mg once daily in the morning for 5 days.
Besides this use a clotrimazole dusting powder on the entire affected areas 3-4 times in a day.
These medicines are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Besides this wear cotton underwear and cotton trousers, avoid physical activity in the form of running, jogging and gyming, stay in a cool airy environment and avoid applying soap on this area .

Dear Ma'am
I personally visited few docs in my city and all 03 of them have denied using steroid ointment which i was using (like Betnovate c & Fourderm) to cure they its harmful and they are true as it actually increased my burning sensation n itching at highest level.
They have given me other course for medicine n ointment n now i can atleast seat n walk comfortably though it will take 1 month to propoerly cure the same.
i think you answer is same as i read on this web n on your link only where it was advised to use steroids which is actually harmfull that you are also aware n still you gave me same advise only after paying INR 599/-
I would request you to please refund my money as your advise is not appropriate as all 03 MD Dermatologist with more than 10 years experience cannot b wrong as all of their advise was same.

That's why I had asked you to take oral tablet for 5 days only and the cream for 7 days.
I had also recommended you to take some preventive measures to cure it.
I am well aware of the side effects of steroids but if given for a short duration they can actually help the patient and side effects don't occur with this dose and duration of steroids.
