Suggest Treatment For Intermittent Pain In The Legs

default
Posted on Tue, 31 Jan 2017
Question: I am 67 in good health , however on a blood thinner and two HBP meds - and an injectable cholesterol med (to avoid muscle tightness)

My current concern is leg pain - intermittent - in both legs from hip/ buttock area and in various areas into the top of my feet. It comes and goes and changes locations with a 60/40 split right resus left

Any suggestions on what speciality to see? Or what are the possibilities?

Brief Answer:
Can be muscle cramp or side effect of medicines.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.

The pain in the legs that you have can be due to muscle cramps, side effect of cholesterol lowering medicine (even injectable's can cause so) or due to electrolyte imbalance.

You can consult your Orthopedician for a few tests to find out the cause of this pain. Proper supplements and changing the cholesterol lowering medicine can help.

I hope this answers your query.
