Question: When I wake up in the morning I csn bearly close my hand my knuckles hurt so bad till I soak them in my hot bath and my pointer finger has felt asleep or numb for week when it all started

Thank you for posting your query.

I have gone through your entire history , I think you are having early morning stiffness which is characteristic for inflammatory arthritis and then relieving it by hot water is also indicator for the same . The pointer finger that you are telling can be due to carpal tunnel syndrome which can be secondary for the same.

Plus metabolic profile also needs to be done . I would advise you to get Rheumatoid factor , Anti CCP antibody , ESR , Vitamin D levels , S. TSH to look for the cause . After establishment of the cause we can suggest the management . Sensory loss in the finger will require NCV testing to be done . You can discuss these with your treating doctor.
