Brief Answer:
Diet modification/ change of medications

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX

Welcome to HCM. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

You are having hypoglycaemia due to glimipride (GP2), still your fasting blood glucose and HbA1C are above the desired level.

There are 2 options:

1. Diet modification

Make the diet into frequent low calorie foods. 3 major meals (break fast, lunch and dinner) and 3-4 snacks will help. A small snack at 11 am will help to prevent low sugars

2. Modify medications

Add medications that will not cause low blood sugars. Medications like metformin and gliptins can be added that will also control the fasting sugars without the risk of low blood sugars.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
