Suggest Treatment For High Fever And Runny Nose
Question: My son is having a fever of 101.6F and have a running nose . Can you advise on course of action

symptom of fever and running nose suggest that your child most probably has common cold or upper respiratory tract infection.
In my opinion, you can give syrup Paracetamol 15 Milli gram per kg to child if fever occurs, it can be given three times a day. For running nose you can give syrup like syrup Sinarest.
You should take some precautions like avoid cold water, avoid cold drink, avoid ice cream, avoid exposure to cold temperature, child should be covered during night to prevent from cold.
if there is no improvement in 24 hours, then antibiotic needs to be given. An examination by doctor should also be done so that we may not miss any important finding like infection in chest.
