I read your question and i understand your concern. Ideal weight for your age is less than 140/90 at any cost. Your blood pressure is high way high and has significant risks for complications even like stroke. You need to control it. Both diet and lifestyle and medications compliance. Talk to your doctor and let them start you on some antihypertensive.
Modify Diet and prefer DASH diet comprising of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Get plenty of potassium, which can help prevent and control high blood pressure. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Also prefer following diet supplements for better outcome.
Fiber, such as blond psyllium and wheat XXXXXXX
Minerals, such as magnesium, calcium and potassium
Folic acid
Supplements or products that increase nitric oxide or widen blood vessels (vasodilators), such as cocoa, coenzyme Q10, L-arginine or garlic
Omega-3 fatty acids, found in fatty fish, fish oil supplements or flaxseed
reduce salt intake. No more than 1.5 gm in a day. Maintain a healthy weight. If you are overweight losing only a few pounds even can help you control hypertension. No more than one drink a day if you drink alcohol which is 12 ounces of beer, 5 ounces of wine or 1.5 ounces of 80-proof liquor. but better would be stop it completely. Don't smoke either and manage stress.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
