Question: Hi, I am 33 and relatively healthy. I do have heriditary high blood pressure controlled by meds. I have had troubles with my left leg since I was pregnant 5years ago with my daughter. I have pain in my lower back that shoots to my forte I have also been experiencing pelvic pain. My
Left knee is now hurting pretty badly and swollen. Are these all connected?

The low back pain that shoots to the leg is likely to be due to a bulging disc in the lower spine. There might be a slight nerve root compression involved. This can be related to poor posture also. Exact diagnosis can be made after an MRI scan of the lower spine. The pain in the knee and swelling may not be related to the lower back pain.
The swelling in the knee is likely to be due to an inflammation in the joint. Mild decrease in joint lubricants or an injury can cause this. You can take mild pain killers, give rest to the knee and use an elastic knee brace for relief.
