Suggest Treatment For Gastrointestinal Infection And Inflammatory Bowels Disease

Question: I have been going to the bathroom 8-10 times per day, and with stool looks like mucus or curdled milk. No pain in stomach, but when the feeling hits, I have to use the bathroom immediately. I also noticed what appeared to be blood for 3 days, but that went away (it was bright red, not dark). This has been going on for over a month. Trying to make an appt with doctor, but probably won't get in for another week or two.
Thank you for your help,

Brief Answer:
Colonoscopy is necessary to find out what is happening.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Such symptom can appear due to gastrointestinal infection, inflammatory bowels disease as well as colon cancer. Blood you have noticed comes most likely from hemorrhoids (even if you do not see any). It is common that with lots of stools rectal area gets wounded and it bleeds especially when hemorrhoids are present.
The main problem is frequent stools and mucus in stool.
I suggest you to do not wait with this any longer. You should have colonoscopy, stool tests, blood work and abdominal ultrasound done at first. Without this tests it will be hard to determine the reason.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
