Question: Hie Doc,
I am suffering gastritis from last one month. Before one month i used to get pain in upper abdominal area(edge of rib cage). I consulted a doctor where he said its gastritis and need to do Endoscopy. I have not endoscopy but i get relief whenever i have my med and antacid. But as soon as My meds are over the next day I feel pain and uneasiness. Please recommend me something accept endoscopy as its out of my budget. Also I have done with sonography which showed Early Fatty acid, Tenderness in Left Hypochondrian.

Brief Answer:
Ideal is to get endoscopy done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

You can check out in medical colleges about endoscopy, they do it at very minimal charges or even free. You can just search there numbers on net and call them. There are three such colleges in your area.

The reason I am suggesting this is because I suspect a gastric ulcer in your case which is not responding to medications.

Once diagnosis is made doctors will suggest you treatment which will include a course of antibiotics and stronger antacids.

This is ideal way to go about this. Also it will be in your budget. Dont ignore this as bowel perforation is one of the complications of ulcer.

Hope this helps.Regards.
