Question: addendum: i have old lacunar infarct, frontal lobe atrophy, calcified structure in nose. no mass lesion seen. ethmoid sinusitis. smoking (hard to stop). biopsy no malignancy noted. deviated septum.

1. The calcified lesion mentioned by you in the query, I want to confirm that is it actually located in the nose or in the brain?
2. Are you suffering from headache, nasal block and nasal allergy (sneezing/running nose/foul smell from the nose)?
3. Do you have associated hypertension or Diabetes?

The calcified mass in the nose could be related to any of the following lesions rhinolith, osteoma of the paranasal sinuses, allergic fungal sinusitis or an impacted tooth.

Diagnostic nasal endoscopy (DNE) is required to confirm the same. The appropriate management can be planned further after examining the lesion.
Kindly provide other details which I have asked in earlier answer.

yes tension type headache, hbp but under meds including aspirin. i feel acidic now. also rivotril as needed.

The amount of stress undergone to cope up with the present nasal condition together with acid reflux can be the precursor of either tension headache or stress headache.

Avoid aspirin; get the medicine replaced after consulting your doctor. Aspirin can worsen the acidity. For headache, try taking diclofenac or ibuprofen which is more beneficial. For acid reflux, proton pump inhibitor such as Omeprazole or Pantoperazole is the best choice.

Rivotril - clonazepam, is not used to treat acidity. It is an antipsychotic medicine used to relieve the anxiety. You can definitely take one to calm down your anxiety after discussing or as advised by your doctor.

Proton pump inhibitors such as Pantoperazole or Omeprazole are used to treat acidity.

Yes, calcification noticed in the sinuses can cause headache because of the blockage of the sinuses. Hence, unless the blockage is not relieved, the headache will not reduce.

Sinuses are always filled with air, hence, presence of any secretions or calcified fungal ball or osteoma makes the skull heavy and leads to headache.
