Question: my wife, age 85, with altzheimers, is generally very healthy, but she is urinating very frequently and is red in and around her eyes and is pale. her BUN is 36 and her Creatinine ratio is 61, both very high. she does not have blood in her urine but I think she has a uti. the blood test was done 4 days ago. how urgent is it to get a urine test

You may have to get the test at the earliest as the urine can provide indications of the infection well only in the initial stages. If positive for infection she can be placed on suitable antibiotics in the early stage to cure it soon.
