Suggest Treatment For Frequent Urination, Burning Sensation And Brown Colored Urine

Question: i had brown kind urine a few minutes ago.
i have burning before-during-after urination and frequent urination.

what does that brown color urine mean?

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have UTI.
Brown urine is due to blood mixed in acidic urine .

Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to trace out the organisms causing this infection and their sensitivity pattern so that you can take appropriate antibiotic as per culture report to combat the infection.

In the mean while take antibiotic like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin and urinary antispasmodic like Flavoxate twice daily and urine alkalizer thrice daily.

Ensure to drink more water to keep urine dilute.

Dear Dr.,

thanks for your answer. Let me give you more information:

1- one week ago I have been to an urologist and he did a ecography of prostate glands and on the saw some "white" spots and told me that prostate glands are infected. He took a urine culture also and told me that the results are normal except there is some crystallization. Does prostate gland infection cause also brown urine? If so, why? I wondered the mechanism behind it (i am myself a researcher also).

2- yesterday and today evening, i have eaten some dark bread. is it possible that this food gave the brown color?

3- the strange thing i obseved was that, after thsi brown urination, 20 minutes later i went again to toilet and now a very clear (light yellow) urine. what is the the reason that the previous one was brown and the one 20 minutes later was light yellow?

4- i put the brown urine into a glass. do you suggest me to bring to my family doctor for another urine culture analysis?

5- i have faty liver also. i hope this brown color is not related to an advanced liver disease. what do you think? if the reason for brown color was liver, i think i would not have burning. Right?

Thanks for follow up.The answers to your queries are as under.

1) Yes infection of the prostate gives brown coloured urine .
Whenever there is infection of the prostate there is increased vascularity of the prostate resulting into congestion of prostate .If a small tiny vessel mostly a vein on he surface of the gland gets bust open and there is slight bleeding from the surface of prostate which gets mixed with urine that is already stored in bladder to become brown.

2) Brown coloured urine is not due to food or bread.

3) The brown coloured urine once drained out and if the bleeding has stopped spontaneously there is no more blood to get mixed up with fresh urine .This is the reason for your successive urine to be clear.

4) Yes you can submit urine sample for detail analysis .

5)No fatty liver can not be cause for brown coloured urine .

Dear Dr.,
one last question: you told me that urine color is not related to food.
I am not sure if this is correct. I know that a few days ago I drunk a big glass of coffee with milk, then after that i saw milk-kind urine.
When I ate yogurt I also notice this. I had these patterns but these patters
do not always occur. They occur ed sometimes.
The picture of bread I have eaten this evening (6 hours ago) is attached.
Do you still think the brown color is not due to the brown bread?

What I related to brown bread was only for urine color, not for other symptoms.
