Brief Answer: Further information required Detailed Answer: Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day Being a Pediatric Surgeon i come across many such kids with repeated vomiting. Repeated vomiting in child requires thorough assessment by clinical examination and investigation. I would like to know details about the other associated complaints when you said it starts with vomiting, what are other problem the child has at that time. 1. What is th color of vomiting? Is it yellow or bilious? How often does he vomit and is there any relationship with food intake 2. Does he have fever 3. Does he have distension of abdomen 4. Does he pass stools regularly 5. Does he have any urinary complaints 6. Any loss of appetite I an extremely sorry for such exhaustive information asked. But it will definitely help us in arriving at the cause. In the meantime I would suggest you to give him Lansoprozole and Domperidone which will take care of his vomiting. Do get back to me Best Regards Dr Deepak Kishore MBBS, MS, MCH Consultant Pediatric Surgeon

Brief Answer: Will require Ultrasound and Erect X ray abdomen Detailed Answer: Greetings, Lets first manage this episode. I would suggest you the following 1. Give him samall quantity meals frequently: It will maintain nutrition 2. If there is episode of vomiting, dont give himfeeds or liquids for next 30 minutes. Give him a cup of juice which he can slowly sip. 3. Also give him Cap Pantop D(Pantoprozole+Domperidone): it will take care of associated gastritis and vomiting 4. Avoid oily/spicy food once he settles down, i would suggest you to consult Pediatrician/Pediatric Surgeon for further management for clinical examination and following investigation 1. Constipation needs to be ruled out as cause: Erect X ray abdomen 2. Ultrasound abdomen: to rule out malrotation of intestine as the cause 3. Complete blood count 4. Serum Electrolytes. I would like to rule out malrotation of Intestine, Gastritis/Gastro-oesophageal reflux, Constipation as possible cause. Do write to me for any further assistance Regards Deepak
