Question: I have been sick lately. I've had fever, extremely sore throat, and red eyes. I went to the dr who prescribed me pink eye meds (even though I KNOW it's not pink eye). I've taken the medicine but I continue getting worse.

Brief Answer:
Quinsy or lungs bacterial infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Your symptoms are most likely caused by bacterial infection of respiratory tract. Its is hard to say what exactly is going on not being able to perform physical examination.
The infection may be located in the throat (quinsy), bronchi or lungs. Sore throat is very characteristic symptom of quinsy. However the mucus with blood is more possible with bronchi/lungs infection.
Sometimes such bloody mucus can be a symptom of tuberculosis.

I suggest you to visit your doctor once again. Physical examination and chest x-ray should be done. Antibiotic seems necessary (amoxiciline most likely).

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
