Brief Answer:
If it persists evaluation may be needed

Detailed Answer:
Hello

The normal temperature ranges from 97.7 F to 99 F. The temperature of body varies and it is minimal in the early morning and highest in the evening.
The night time fever in a child can be due to infection(tuberculosis is a common cause) or it maybe just a normal variation. There are few other uncommon causes of night rise of temperature.
In case of tuberculosis usually there is positive family history of tuberculosis infection, history of weight loss, cough and poor appetite along with long duration of night time low grade fever.
If there is no associated symptoms and fever is not persistent(not more than 7 days) and child's activity is good then no need to worry.
Give him antipyratic if temperature is more than 100 F and also make a temperature chart to see the pattern of fever.

If child is lethargic, not accepting feeds well, there is increase in spike of fever an clinical evaluation by a pediatrician will be needed. He may need few investigations like hemogram,ESR, urine routine and microscopy and skin test for tuberculosis to find out the cause of fever.
I will be glad to answer if you have any further query.
Wish your child a good health.
Regards

Brief Answer:
Yes sir, please get him examined by a pediatrician

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir

As there are associated symptoms like headache and vomiting, this is not a normal variation of temperature. There may be some infection and it should be ruled out by clinical examination and investigation if needed.
He may need acid reducing agent like esomeprazole/lansoprazole along with antiemetic(ondensetron) and antipyratic( Paracetamol). Give him adequate amount of fluid to prevent dehydration.
So please consult your pediatrician for proper evaluation and management accordingly.

I hope this answers your query
Wish your child good health
