Brief Answer:
Tiredness is due to high blood pressure !!!

Detailed Answer:

Thanks for consulting and your trust in HCM means a lot to me as a Physician.

I have completely reviewed your health query, and well realize all those concerns. Being your physician, I will take care all of them today and will extend my expertise to solve the problems.

I feel really sorry that you have all these issues. But they are manageable. You have weakness due to high blood pressure. Muscle get easily fatigued and patient may feel loss of energy too.

You have been treated and your H. pylori infection is cured as shown by negative Lab tests. Now the issue of throat irritation and feeling of something stuck in the mouth and throat is all aftermath of the GERD and infection that will be fine soon with management discussed below.

Take Lukewarm water and add some salt in it (it makes a saline water). Do gargles with it.

Take Tab. PANTOPRAZOLE 40mg/LEVOSULPIRIDE 25 mg Twice daily before meals twice daily for a week for better gastric motility and controlled gastric acid.

Please observe rest of the management measures and precausetions as aforementioned in previous answer.

Avoid caffeinated drinks, beverages, spices, smoking, alcohol etc.
Western diet, refined red meats, refined grains, junk and fried foods are all that make the issues like this worse.

Please ask your treating physician to take care of your blood pressure issue through proper medications. Continued high blood pressure has devastating effects on all body organs.

Hope I answered all of your queries. Let me know if you have further clinical concerns or doubts. I will be more than happy to get back to you. For any disease you have, a timely follow-up is necessary regarding the treatment efficacy and to see if there is a need to change the treatment options. So keep a follow up to see how you doing (Always write down my name in start of your questions at this forum & I will be with you in no time).

My doctor prescribed me benazepril 20mg. It's been 5 days and my pressure it's normal but i wake up lightheaded, shortness of breath and heart palpitation. Is this due to side effects?

I have an appointment with a gastrologist for my throat symptoms. I'm following your diet meanwhile. Thank you for your answer.

Brief Answer:
These are side effects of medicine Benazepril !!!

Detailed Answer:
Welcome and thanks for follow up and your continued trust in HCM is a boost for us to provide you better services forever.

I feel sorry for the situation you have. Let me assure you that these are all due to the medication side effects as body adjusts to the medicine given for high blood pressure. Benazepril (ACE Inhibitor) has a common side effect profile of symptoms you are feeling.

I usually recommend that if these side effects persist longer, then doctor visit is necessary for reviewing the medicine.

It is good to consult your Gastroenterologist for better evaluation of the throat symptoms you have.

Dr. Hanif,

I'll ask one more question. Is it possible to have high blood pressure if i'm only 31 (160 lbs 5'2"). I've been under a lot of emotional stress the past year but i also had a new sex partner for the past 5 months and started to think my tireness can be due to HIV. I did get tested the first month of the relationship but i don't know his status. Can H.Pylori, throat problema and blood pressure be symptoms if this?

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your help.

Brief Answer:
No these are not the HIV symptoms. Blood pressure is a separate issue !

Detailed Answer:
Warm Welcomes. I appreciate your trust in HCM and assure you are on the best portal for expert online medical services.

All of your health queries are more than welcomed and I am happy to answer your follow up question.

Yes it is possible to have high blood pressure (hypertension) at any age and even with normal body mass index and no obesity. Emotional imbalances, anxiety and stress also adds up to hypertension issues.

Hypertension if left untreated leads to tiredness, dizziness, weakness and malaise. Hypotension (low blood pressure also causes dizziness, lightheadedness, unconsciousness etc.

HIV can also be the cause of tiredness (so thinking this way is not illogical). But you have ruled it out by testing.

Throat infection seems to be a coincident and H.Pylori infection of stomach is a separate issue not related to HIV.

Hope I answered all of your concerns. Let me know if you have further questions. I will be more than happy to clear any doubts. Please give your 'rating' (if agreed, Five Stars) to help assist patients in a better way; and, don't forget to click on 'Close The Discussion'.
