If it is since short period of time or due to infective causation, medications like Loperamide, atropine sulphate or bult forming agents like psyllium husk or methylcellulose can be advised.

Temporary continence products like anal plugs or silicone inserts can be of use but a bit cumbersome process.

If the condition is chronic without any correctable underlying condition then surgeries like Spinchteroplasty or sacral nerve stimulation can be done.
