Brief Answer:
could be pathological/anxiety/idiopathic
Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having excessive salivation causing speech problems.

As such, it could be pathological (motor neuron disease-where facial muscles are weak that will not help in swallowing or salivary gland abnormalities), or anxiety or idiopathic.

In idiopathic cause, there are different postures that are available to control the excessive saliva.

Medications like sub lingual atropine, glycopyrrolate, hyosine, scopalamine patches or anti depressants can be tried. All this drugs can be taken with prescription, under supervision and after proper evaluation.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
