Suggest Treatment For Excessive Saliva Due To Acid Reflux And Laryngitis

Question: My husband has excessive saliva due to acid refulux. He gets it esp. when he is sick with a cold or at times when he his reflux is in high gear. This time he has a very bad cold/flu with laryngitis.Most of the cold sytomos are gone but he he still up most of the night spitting into a cup or into the tolilet or basin. He is miserable and tired! None of the usual remidies induling his acid reflux meds have helped him this time. Any suggestions?

When the classical drugs don't help, it may be that he needs surgery to correct the severe disease condition. Evaluation with an endoscopy would be able to make this difference. I strongly recommend that you ask the gastroenterologist specifically about this and request for.
