Suggest Treatment For Erectile Dysfunction

default
Posted on Tue, 17 Mar 2015
Question: My partner can climax fairly easily by hand or mouth - lots of semen - but cannot get an erection. Viagra has not done anything for him. Tried different times - always stimulated penis and allover affection of his body. He excites easily but he wants to please me and is really frustrated and embarrassed.. He is 74 but in very good health and shape. I hate him calling himself only half a man - sometimes in tears. Is there anything we can try? We have the sex toys but not what we want.

Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your partner has problem of Erectile Dysfunction.

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on his problem.
1) Is he diabetic?
2) Is he taking any medications ?

There are two important factors for Erectile Dysfunction in elderly people
1)With increasing age there is fall in serum Testosterone levels which is essential component in process of erection
2)There is generalized atherosclerosis which also involves penile arteries that supply blood to erectile tissue resulting into diminished blood flow to erectile tissue causing Erectile Dysfunction.

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical assessment and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis and find out cause of his ED.
1) Serum Testosterone levels
2) Color Doppler Ultrasound Scanning of Penis to find/rule out arterial insufficiency or venous leak as a cause for his ED.

Further treatment will be decided by him based on results of these test and final diagnosis,
