Question: I had in the past used a creme marked 360 Andropause Creme. It seems..that since I quit using it about 8 months ago that my penis has retracted severely...I am circumcised but the head is no retracted inside that i need to pull it out to urinate...wash it...even just too masturbate much less enjoy sex. I am 64, have MS..ED etc...sometimes the pills work..tri mix seems to work as well. would trying to find this creme again maybe help? I got it from a "Mens Clinic"...quit because it was very expensive.

Brief Answer:
A very tricky situation, mentioned why exactly

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. The use of andropause cream in men is called testosterone replacement therapy. This therapy is used in men (preferably those who have completed their family) who have a low testosterone level. Testosterone is the male hormone which helps in normal sexual functioning of the male body.

With testosterone replacement therapy there come a number of side effects, but I shall only sprak about two specific ones which are important and relevant to our discussion. The first side effect is that pertaining to fertility. As testosterone replacement therapy is initiated, the body starts receiving testosterone from an external source, making it lazy enough to reduce and even stop the natural production of testosterone in the body. This can be either a permanent or temporary side effect. This reduction or complete absence og production will continue even after the therapy has been discontinued, leading to various side effects like erectile dysfunction, complete absence of sexual desire, atrophy of the testes and penis, etc. This is what you have been experiencing.

Your body has gotten used to the testosterone replacement therapy and has stopped natural production of testosterone, thus resulting in your presentation. In such cases, testosterone therapy would indeed be advised.

But reinitiating testosterone therapy and for a longer duration can result in many other side effects, including the second important side effect I wanted to mention, i.e. risk of development of cancer. Anything done in excess can lead to trouble, similarly with the testosterone levels in your body.

So please discuss all the pros and cons in detail with your doctor before initiating any medication, I would strongly recommend this for you right now. I hope you find my response helpful, please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.

Best wishes.
