Suggest Treatment For Erectile Dysfunction And Seeing White Circles In Vision

default
Posted on Mon, 8 Dec 2014
Question: Good Morning,
I am a 46 year old male. I have had sudden flaccid penis issue as well as ED. Using Cialis I have gained a portion of my flaccid size. I have vision problems. I get white rings around my sight window. My forearms ( left worse than right) are tingly most of the time. I can't sing because I get dizzy.
I quit going to my doctor a year ago because he was leaving the clinic he worked at to pursue a private practice in another town. He ran many tests, EKG, and two MRI's because of my vision issue, I even saw a Urologist ( I think) who just wanted to put me on "depression" drugs which I am completely against. I am not depressed at all. I am actually very happy the last few years. I have lost 25 lb's in the last year, quit smoking, lift weights, and golf a lot. Why am I not feeling better???
Thanks Doc !

Brief Answer:
Your problem could be much more simpler sir

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query and would like you to know that I am here to help. Based on the provided information, I would like to ask you a few questions sir:

-When was the last glycemic profile conducted? If it has not been conducted in the last 2 months then I would request HbA1c and a glycemic profile to be conducted

-I would request monitoring your blood pressure on at least 3 different times of the day to see if there is a fluctuation

-A lipid profile to be conducted on fasting

I completely understand how doctors would choose to prescribe anti-depressants for you thinking you have depression. And I believe you a 100 % when you say that you are not depressed. Which is why I want you to know that anti-depressant are prescribed for various reasons. Let me explain, some times they are prescribed for individuals with migraine headaches, erectile dysfunction, etc.

You should know that anti-depressants do not just treat depression, but many other conditions as well. So when your doctor prescribes anti-depressants, it does not meant that they are suspecting depression to be the cause. Although I cannot say for sure why and for what your doctor prescribed depression.

I would also like you to know that the main cause for erectile dysfunction is 'performance-related anxiety'. You may read up on this, and this happens to many men and in my experience every man experiences this at least once in their life. The treatment of performance-related anxiety is also antidepressants.

If your test results are normal then there might not be anything wrong with you, and your only problem could be anxiety. It is something to consider, don't you think sir?

For now, I would request all the above mentioned tests to be conducted at the earliest. Looking forward to hearing from you and helping you further sir. Please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.

Best wishes.
