Question: Hi, I have been obsessed with my heart since I had a very bad episode of palpitations. I started dreaming about my heart beating faster and waking up in panic every time I notice I am dreaming to avoid my heart beating fast. I am taking an antidepressant to help me sleep. My question is, can I have a heart attack from this ? I am really scared my dreams and emaotions during dreams will cause it.

I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns.
As far as heart attack is concerned in this scenario, I assure you , at the age of 34 and without the risk factors like diabetes or hypertension, it is not expected. So cheer up and stop worrying about it. You may need to see a your physician atleast once so that you can be counseled and managed properly.
Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask.
