Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Gallbladder

Question: My son recently passed away at two months and one day. He was in my arms. Had eaten about two hours prior and was fine. He dozed off and I felt a heaviness from him. I picked him up and he was totally limp. I yelled for my daughter to call 911 and I began Cpr. He was still pink and warm. When I gave him a breath, clear liquid bubbled out of his mouth and nose. The doctors were dumbfounded. The only thing they found was a slightly enlarged gallbladder. What happened to my baby who seemed perfectly healthy? He was my fourth so I can usually see when something is wrong with one of my babies. I was also a medic in the USAF. Any answers/guesses?

Brief Answer:
Could be aspiration

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us and I am sorry about your loss.
Based on your description it could be milk aspiration into the lungs after the food which can cause respiratory obstruction and death- commonly seen at this age.
Other causes could include undiagnosed cardiac issues.
Did you get a postmortem done?
That could have helped in arriving at some conclusion.
If he was pink and warm at cpr then the event could only be a sudden respiratory or cardiac arrest.
Regards
Dr Arun
