Brief Answer:
Watchful eating and regular physical activity

Detailed Answer:
In my opinion you should aim something like this:

Watchful eating, knowing what you eat. How many calories, how much saturated fat, how much fibre? Aim to get at least 30gm of fibre per day. Do not have more than 8% saturated fat. You will know this by reading the nutrient labels
How many cups of vegetable and fruit per day? 5 to 6 cups a day.
Do not pick at store anything that has high fructose corn syrup or added sugars.
Try to eat what you had eaten during your childhood and do not change the eating habits or the content.
Try to pick foods that were made similar to what your grandmother made few years back.
Above this aim to touch at least 10000 steps a day.

Test the cholesterol after 3 months following the above modifications.

Brief Answer:
Dietitian views are expert views

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Although every high fibre nut will help reduce those bad lipid and improve good lipids the scientific details should be put forward to a dietitian who work on these details day in and day out.
Yoga is certainly good and keeps the stress away. Stress is a major deterrent for those loose unhealthy plaques lying in the high stream arteries.
You should keep practising yoga all life.
