Brief Answer:
You just need to get rest. No active intervention needed.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

The liver enzymes SGOT and SGPT can rise due to a number of reasons. Alcoholism, infective hepatitis or autoimmune hepatitis are some of the common common causes. If it is due to Heptatitis B infection, it indicates an acute stage of infection. An acute infection may last up to six months (with or without symptoms) and as an infected person you are able to pass the virus to others during this stage. I would need to confirm if Hepatitis B has been confirmed definitively. A patient will test positive for the hepatitis B virus (HBsAg+), HBc-IgM, and possibly the HBe-antigen. I would need you to get the detailed workup done.

Treatment of acute hepatitis B is generally supportive, which may or may not require hospitalization. Rest and managing symptoms are the primary goals of therapy. In other words, no active intervention is required to bring down the liver enzymes. Additional follow-up blood tests are needed to confirm recovery from an acute infection or progression to a chronic infection.
