Question: For three days I have had almost constant gurgling in my stomach and annoying noises. I took some Pepcid and it finally went away. But a day later it is back and I have an extremely warm feeling in my stomach. My stomach is hot to the touch.

Brief Answer:
Dyspepsia, Pharmacological and non pharmacological measures will be beneficial

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
Based on the information I feel you are having dyspepsia.

I would suggest few measures that will be beneficial.

A. Consume plenty of water. Keep a water bottle on the working desk and keep sipping water on and off as required. I also advise to drink a glass of water an hour before and after food to make sure of intake of adequate water.
B. Avoid excess consumption of tea/ coffee/ hydrogenated drinks.
C. Avoid smoking and alcohol, if any.
D. Antacids like Digene or Gelusil syp, 2tsp in 50ml of water three to four times a day half an hour before food.
You can also take capsule omeprazole 20 mg once daily empty stomach, before breakfast for a week.

E. Maintain a gap of atleast 2 hrs in between dinner and going to bed. Eat frequent small meals instead of heavy ones and do not starve. Do not lie down immediately after food, walk for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Keep your head end slightly raised when sleeping
F. Avoid spicy and oily food for few days till the symptoms are resolved.
G. Avoid or reduce the intake of meat, dairy products, and add more fiber to your diet. Eat lots of salads, vegetables, fresh fruits,
H. You can take probiotics like Sporolac or Ecobion which will be beneficial and you can take curd as well.
I. Avoid gas producing foods like peas, cabbage, legumes, etc. Eat light meals prepared under hygienic conditions. Avoid eating fast and talking while eating.

Follow this measures your symptoms should reduce.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. Please accept my answer in case you do not have further queries.

Take care.
