Brief Answer:
Meibomian Gland Dysfunction.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HealthCareMagic.Com

Thank you for sending your query.

The patient data you have send suggests that the dry eye is due to the dysfunction of meibomian glands and hence the patient has undergone Lipiflow treatment.

On the contrary the dry caused by LASIK is due to the cutting of some corneal nerves. The loss of these nerves reduce the sensitivity of the cornea.Since the corneas are less sensitive they unable to judge the wetness of eyes and hence produce less tears, which leads to dry eye.

Meibomian gland dysfunction is a different variety of dry and and it cannot be caused by LASIK surgery .

Though an existing MGD can be aggravated by LASIK surgery, which is a well documented side effect of the procedure. And I believe must have been explained to the concerned patient.

If you have any more query, do get back to me.
