Suggest Treatment For Discomfort In Testicles And Frequent Urination

Posted on Thu, 11 Feb 2016
Question: Hi doctor,

I have this uncomfortable sensation on my testicle or scrotum. It is not painful just uncomfortable. So far, there is no penis discharge, painful urination, cloudy/blood urine and etc. i have an increased frequency of urination last week but cleared up after I took URAL XXXXXXX for a day. I feel like this is like UTI or PROSTATITIS but my GP said this is unlikely in young men.

If you are wondering about my sexual history, my last exposure after testing last year was 2 times condom protected sex and 2 times unprotected insertive oral felattio. My last exposure was 6 weeks ago and my experience just happened a couple of days ago.

Other than the thing i mentioned, there is no other related issues happened such as fever, rashes, lymphnodes and etc. i am perfectly healthy.

Last question, is this HIV related? Do you ever come across patient with this symptom?

Brief Answer:
Could be due Varicocele or infection of spermatic cord (Funicuitis)

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have discomfort in scrotum since couple of days .

Since you do not have any urinary symptoms and history of frequent unprotected sex it is unlikely to be due to HIV or Prostatitis .

The discomfort that you have is mostly either due to infection of Spermatic Cord (Funiculitis) or Varicocele .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Ultrasound Scanning of scrotum
4) Color Doppler study of scrotum.

In the meanwhile take antibiotics like Doxicycline along with antu inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily .

Using scrotal support will help to get relief from discomfort or mild pain .

Further specific treatment if required will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Can i access and purchase the antibiotics uou mentioned from pharmacy without doctor prescription?

I do have urinary problem though such as increased urination and little urination flow during urination but it was completely healed after i consumed URAL sachets and drink more fluid for a day.

Does this sound like gonnorhea and claymdia even though 6weeks have passed after this incident?

Does my high PSA health report contributes to this issues? It is beyond the healthy range. My pointer is at 7.1

Does this sound like hiv infection? Have you come across such a thing?
