Question: Clearblue fertility monitor and ovulation strips do not show Ovulation. How do I know I ovulate? I have cycles ranging from 26 days to 33 days (I am currently on day 34 and no signs of period, pregnancy test negative). I am trying for a baby and worry I don't ovulate. My fertility specialist says I do ovulate and I need to stop worrying. My BMI is 39 and wants it down to 30-35 before he does any further testing. I am trying to get pregnant but worry how can I when my cycles are like they are? Are these cycles regular or irregular? My specialist says they are classed as regular. Even though a pregnancy test is negative could I still be pregnant. I am worried about missing my period as I haven't missed before. Thank you for your help

PCOS has been ruled out

Brief Answer:
Need follicular growth scan

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

If clear blue fertility monitor is not showing ovulation status, only other best way is to get follicular growth scan done to assess ovulation.

Cycle variation is common between number of days you explained. I don't think you should presume ovulation if clear blue monitor is not showing ovulation. I suggest you get follicular growth scan done.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

They wont let me have follicular growth scan until my BMI is down to 35. I will try fertility monitor and ovulation strips one more month then seek extra help form GP. Its funny because fertility monitor has shown ovulation in the past so why not now? hmmmm
Do you think there are chances I maybe pregnant

Brief Answer:
Keep trying

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There are chances that you will get pregnant. Keep trying for pregnancy, don't be disheartened.

It is possible that fertility monitor shows positive for ovulation .

Thank you so much. So if I didnt ovulate monitor wouldnt change bars? It would just stay low all the time? Could I be pregnant day 33 and no period this is longest cycle I have ever had

Brief Answer:
Fertility monitor not always reliable

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Fertility monitor can go wrong sometimes. It can stay low though you ovulate. There is possibility of pregnancy if your cycles are delayed.
